Cotton Creek Farms is a Huacaya Alpaca farm located in Thompsonville, which is located just south of Traverse City in Northwestern Michigan. Our alpaca herd includes a mix of pet, hobby, and show quality alpacas. We offer alpacas for sale, breedings, offer an onsite and online alpaca store, produce and sell our own alpaca feed, host interactive alpaca tours, manage a 4-H group called Farm and Fleece, offer color genotyping consulting, and provide mentoring for new farms.
The farm also produces a wide range of USA made alpaca products that includes socks, hats, scarves, mittens and gloves, throws and blankets, yarn, and roving.
After living in the Detroit area for two decades, Jason and Rebecca said goodbye to high-stress jobs, long commutes, and way too busy schedules. In 2018 they officially moved into their Thompsonville, Michigan alpaca farm and began living a quieter life filled with open land, sunset views, and a herd full of alpaca love and goodness.
Today the farm has turned into a full business with 40+ alpacas. The family is a member of the national Alpaca Owners Association (AOA), an AOA Mentor Farm For Youth, a member of the Alpaca Association of Michigan, and Jason operates a 4-H club called Farm and Fleece through the Northwest Michigan 4-H Livestock Council.
