The Heart of Virginia Alpaca Show
April 3 - April 5
The Heart of Virginia Alpaca Show is entering its 5th year as the “not to be missed, no frills” alpaca event. This show is designed to focus on small breeders, new owners, future owners, old owners, and the rest of the world that just happens to love alpacas. The show’s environment is very casual, offering a clinic style atmosphere and highly educational. Breeders new to the show world will find this event highly beneficial in their desire to learn more about their alpacas, meet other breeders, and gain insight to the alpaca industry.
It has been our desire from the start to provide alpaca owners an affordable show – just fun! Many of the breeders that are coming are our personal friends and biggest rivals – they are incredible owners and the nicest people on the planet. I encourage you to say hello if they don’t do it first. The show has it all – terrific folks, amazing alpacas, top judges that know their stuff, an award winning photographer, and some of the best competition . You just might take home a ribbon, or two, or three.
The Heart of Virginia Alpaca Show will be following the 2020 AOA show rules. Halter show entries will be judged by AOA Halter and Fleece Judge, Wade Gease. The Walking Fleece competition will be judged by AOA Fleece Judge, Judy Keske. We welcome them both back for 2020.
These judges love to educate, teaching is their specialty. The clinic and seminar style atmosphere during the entire show will give you a better understanding of your alpacas and the industry. Try not to learn something this weekend!
