Meeting Notes:
- We are still waiting for the bank to approve access for the board members. All paperwork has been submitted to the bank and we are waiting for this to be processed.
- The previous accountant has not yet provided any records to date. Rebecca will follow up again.
- The association’s 501(c)(5) status has been revoked on the federal level due to past noncompliance. The accountant is working on resolving this for us.
- The national alpaca show (via the AOA) is looking for yarn vendors for this years show in Indiana.
- The Fiber Exchange event will move forward again this year. We’ll get that event set up on the website and Facebook soon.
- The board is discussing the opportunity for Jason to do a quarterly color genotyping talk. We are hoping to provide this free to members.
- The board is trying to set a date with Dr. Pam Walker in April for her alpaca 101 or ask the vet zoom call. This would be free for members. Jason is following up with Pam to confirm a date and time.
- We are still pursing the idea of hosting a neonatal birthing class with Dr. Cheryl Dewitt. fKim has offered her location for this future event. Pricing for members and nonmembers has not been settled yet.
- Thoughts on a future husbandry class is still on the table.
- There was a spam email sent out with Rebecca Gill’s name. This did not come from her email and there was no data breach. This is SPAM and a post has been made on Facebook.
